All Soul's Childrens Program

Growing God's Children.

All Souls’ Church offers a Children’s Program for 2, 3 and 4 year-olds. Our school meets from 9am to 1pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The two- year- old class is a Mother’s Day Out program; the three- and four- year old program runs as a Preschool. The purpose of the Mother’s Day Out program is to provide an outreach to the community serving both the parents and their children by offering a multi-cultural, nurturing Christian environment for learning and growth through play and social interaction. Our Preschool Age program provides children with a place where learning can be encouraged, wonder supported, and spirits nurtured. We teach and learn phonemically, via a letter-of-the-week curriculum. Our teachers are qualified instructors, with a love for children and for God. As a Christian program, we hope to encourage a sense of thanksgiving for God and His creations. Through him, we are filled daily with the gifts of music, arts and crafts, culture, Chapel time, play, and reading. All classrooms are taught the same curriculum, at the developmentally appropriate levels of the children.

We have four main goals at All Souls’: Provide a Christian program that meets a specific need in the community. Provide a safe place for your child Offer a curriculum incorporating Christian values through bible stories and prayer, without the intention of indoctrinating Episcopal teachings. Introduce children to Okinawan culture

Sunday School

Sunday mornings at 9:45am, children are invited to attend a very special class that teaches them about God in many different fun ways. The Bible-based curriculum is on a three year cycle and follows the Bible chronologically. The class is approximately 1 hour long and includes a Bible memory verse often taught in song, interactive story time, and craft time where children will color, cut, tape, or create crafts that coincide with the teaching. The children are ushered into the regular 10:00am service during "The Peace" for the opportunity to partake in Holy Communion. For the older children grades 4 and up, homework is assigned out of the "Thrills, Skills, and Drills" curriculum. If you are interested in bringing your child to Sunday School, please see Sara Lester or simply bring them to the parish hall at 9:45am, every Sunday morning, just before the family service. Parents are always welcome to stay and assist if they desire.

Youth Ministry

The All Souls' youth program is a place for the youth of All Souls' to hang out, learn more about Christ, and have fun. Some planned activities for this upcoming year include outreach, community service projects, and planned events around the island. If you are interested in joining and you are in 5th grade or up, please ask your parents to contact Joe and Sara Lester at joseph.lester@allsoulsokinawa.org
